The MISMO organization currently has more than 30 active workgroups dedicated to the development of XML standards for the residential and commercial mortgage industry sectors. The MISMO eMortgage workgroups have developed specifications for paperless, electronic mortgages accompanied by guidelines and whitepapers to support processing and storage.
This page contains a list of the active MISMO workgroups along with the Chair and Vice-Chair and the address of the electronic mailing list (“listerv”) used by the workgroup for announcements and discussion forums. In addition, some Workgroups have created separate pages that provide more detail regarding their mission, deliverables and answers to frequently asked questions.

Purpose:

The Core Data/Structures Workgroup ensures that consistent data definitions and business information is used across all the MISMO real estate finance specifications. Using data modeling and relational concepts, the group maintains consistent data structure usage for the development of Version 3.0 in XML schema.

Enables standards-based methodology, practice, and guidance for the transport, routing and packaging of residential mortgage information. Purpose: |
This is the combined working group that represents all the real estate services independent workgroups. It provides a vehicle for MISMO to manage consistent mechanisms and containers for shared needs across these groups. This allows for greater reuse and increased ease of adoption across service areas. Examples of overlapping areas include status handling, product ordering, and embedded files for responses.

Real estate property information may incorporate the business information found in real estate appraisals, broker price opinions (BPO), multiple listing services (MLS), inspections and public records that can be used to initiate, modify, or cancel requests for real estate property descriptions. The transaction sets are used to transfer information among real estate industry participants.
