The MISMO Origination Workgroup has been chartered to develop, promote, and maintain electronic standards applicable to the mortgage lending process encompassing application, underwriting and closing.
Currently, the Origination Workgroup is gathering information and defining standards for the following:

- Closing 2.4 MXCompliance
- AUS 2.4 MXCompliance
- V3 Reconciliation
If your organization would like to contribute their requirements to this development standard, we are asking for active participation and volunteers.

MISMO has developed two data standards for the Loan Origination Process. These standards, AUS and Closing, provide significant value for trading partners.
The MISMO AUS XML transaction defines an industry standard for organizations to exchange the data required for an Automated Underwriting System while allowing organizations the flexibility to meet their specific needs.
The MISMO Closing XML transaction includes the AUS XML transaction and defines an industry standard for organizations to exchange the data required for Loan Closing Process. The MISMO Closing transaction is also utilized for the generation of SMART Documents.
