This section is dedicated to those individuals and organizations who have chosen to implement one or more of the MISMO transaction standards for exchanging information with another lender, service provider and/or technology vendor. While some organizations have chosen to implement the MISMO data standards as the basis for their own internal data structure standard, this section does not address that specific use of the standard. You can obtain further information about how to do this by contacting a member of the MISMO staff who can direct you to the appropriate resources.

This section provides an initial walk-through of how to approach implementing the MISMO standards. The standard is intended for use by both “submitters” (e.g. lender) and “receivers” (e.g. credit agency). The material below will reflect the process from the perspective of a submitter simply for ease of understanding. A receiver / vendor will have many of the same steps.

The process of implementing the MISMO standards is comprised of four basic steps:

• Design, develop and test
• Certify the implementation
