Welcome to MISMO's Meetings and Events page. Here you can find information about upcoming workgroup conference calls in order to become involved with the creation and development of voluntary new data specifications. This section also details the information you will need to participate in MISMO's Trimester Meetings. In addition you will find information about upcoming technology-related events, for both the commercial and residential real estate finance industries, offered by MBA and its education department CampusMBA.

While the process of standards development continues virtually through conference calls and listserv discussion forums throughout the year, it is during the MBA/MISMO Trimester Workgroup Meetings that the major work of standards development gets done. The meetings are typically held during the third weeks of January, May and September. The meetings are usually kicked off with an Intro to MISMO session for new attendees on Monday morning and continue on with a General Session later in the afternoon. All attendees come together on Tuesday evening for a Cocktail Reception. Throughout the week, over 20 workgroups meet to create and develop standards that result in an open and interoperable foundation for online mortgage services.

Also, save the dates for our final 2008 trimester meeting, tentatively scheduled for September 15-18, 2008. The final location for that meeting will be forthcoming. We will post details on the September Trimester Page.

Note, participation in workgroups is open to firms that agree to abide by MISMO's Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)and Antitrust Policies, as well as other policies and procedures. The IPR policy provides a framework to protect the intellectual property rights of the participants, while ensuring that the MISMO standards can be adopted and implemented by the industry with confidence.
