Individual residential MISMO Workgroups provide implementation guidance for using specific MISMO data standards. In addition, a generic MISMO Implementation Guide has been created that provides information and insights on the entire residential transaction set.

Industry Recommendations

Often times, industry regulations or requirements are established that have an impact on published MISMO standards. To address this issue, MISMO's Wokgroups develop Recommendations for organizations that have implemented the MISMO standards.

Document Mappings

In association with the overall MISMO eMortgage initiative, the MISMO Governance Committee has indicated that Workgroups may publish mappings from approved MISMO transactions to common industry documents or forms.

Engineering Guidelines

The Version 2 Engineering Guidelines are to assist the developers of Extensible Markup Language (XML) for MISMO to achieve consistent and technically appropriate XML that meets the needs of the user community. The Guidelines shall be adhered to during the development process without any deviation. Design Guidelines describe best practices and should be followed unless there is a unique compelling business or technical reason for using an alternate solution.
