Charter

The mission of the Title Insurance Workgroup is to design, develop, and maintain data standards in support of the mortgage industry in the area of Title Insurance and Settlement Services transactions. In addition, the Workgroup develops supporting documentation to provide guidance in the use of these data standards.

The Title Insurance Workgroup manages data elements necessary to order, update or cancel title services from a title insurance company.

This work includes:  

• iGuide Development and Updates for 3.4 changes
• eRemittance (currently final version for 3.3) (no changes expected)
• eAgentValidation guide (currently final version for 3.3) (no change expected)
• eTitlePolicy_Migration_Guide (current draft for 3.3) (changes to structure / location)
• Title Request/Response (currently draft for 3.3) (heavy changes to response)
• eTitlePolicy - Long Form
• Develop sample SMART document
• Update iGuide for new 3.4 changes (currently in draft 3.3) and new items
• eClosingProtectionLetter (eCPL)
• Analyze data points
• Draft changes to the model
