What is the Business Process Model Community of Practice?

The Business Process Model Community of Practice maintains the MISMO Life of Loan which is a directory of MISMO-published and in-flight products organized as a typical mortgage life cycle. It enables business professionals and others to access information about MISMO products within the context of the business process.

MISMO Life of Loan uses Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN™), a standard way of documenting business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with other workgroups (CoPs and DWGs) to continue to relate MISMO Products to the business process
Collaborate with the Business Glossary Community of Practice to provide new terms and definitions
Publish MISMO Life of Loan interactive online tool and navigation resources

How to Join

Anyone may participate in a MISMO development workgroup or community of practice regardless of membership status. Voting members of Information Management and Architecture Workgroup are elected as per governance procedures. Membership in MISMO is open to anyone - mortgage lenders, banks, credit unions, servicers, vendors, government agencies and more. MISMO members receive a voice, and vote, in creating and enhancing industry standards used by the entire industry. Learn more here.
