TIE (Technology Impact and Enablement) CoP

Join the TIE (Technology Impact and Enablement) community to hear about the latest efforts and participate in collaboration!

What is TIE CoP:

The Technology Impact and Enablement (TIE) Community of Practice exists to identify, evaluate, and advance innovations in the mortgage industry. Participants are encouraged to bring forth ideas and questions and assist in the facilitation of discussions related to standards development, adoption, education, and implementation of technology innovations that benefit the industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

The group provides a collaborative forum for mortgage industry stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of tools, practices, and standards that strengthen technology infrastructure while also assessing the relevance and impact of emerging technologies on mortgage processes, data standards, and interoperability across the ecosystem.

Current Focus:

  • Identify and explore technologies that support modernization and enable MISMO implementation across the Life of Loan.
  • Promote awareness of enabling technologies that have the potential to improve the implementation, scalability, and interoperability of current and potential MISMO standards.
  • Monitor and explore emerging technologies to assess their relevance and potential impact on mortgage processes and MISMO standards.

How to Join

Anyone may participate in a MISMO development workgroup or community of practice regardless of membership status.  Voting members of Information Management and Architecture Workgroup are elected as per governance procedures.  Membership in MISMO is open to anyone - mortgage lenders, banks, credit unions, servicers, vendors, government agencies and more. MISMO members receive a voice, and vote, in creating and enhancing industry standards used by the entire industry.  Learn more here.
