MISMO Engineering Guideline (MEG) 7
MISMO Engineering Guideline (MEG) 7 provides the details on a list of approved class words that must make up the last component of all MISMO data point names.
MEG 7 was approved as FINAL in May of 2022.
MEG 7 provides the details on a list of approved class words that must make up the last component of all MISMO data point names. Class words provide consistency and additional meaning. For example, a data point ending with the class word "type" would be expected to have a clearly defined set of allowable values. When the names of data points indicate the type of information they carry, professionals can more readily understand schemas, messages, and metadata using those data points.
The release and use of MISMO standards and other resources, including the MISMO Engineering Guide (MEG) 7, are governed by the MISMO Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy. For more information on the policy, please click here.
