MISMO Revises SMART Doc® V1.02 Implementation Guide and Mapping Workbook

WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 15, 2025) – MISMO®, the real estate finance industry's standards organization, announced the publication of revisions to the SMART Doc®1.02 Implementation Guide and Mapping Workbook. 

The updated SMART Doc® 1.02 Implementation Guide and Mapping Workbook include enhanced guidance on the following:

• Mapping electronic Home Equity Line of Credit (eHELOC) Agreements;
• Supplemental Document requirements;
• Revised Registry Operator guidance; and
• Improvements to the Mapping Workbook for easier use

Standardized SMART Doc® guidance and mapping support greater interoperability and help mortgage service providers preserve data integrity during eNote transactions.
