MISMO Issues Call for Participation in Title and Closing Docs to Data DWG

WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 19, 2023) — MISMO®, the real estate finance industry's standards organization, today announced a call for industry professionals to join the Title and Closing Docs to Data Development Workgroup (DWG). The group's focus is to create standards for frequently used title and closing documents that can be readily adopted by the mortgage industry to establish a consistent method of title data exchange between parties. This effort is part of MISMO’s work to enhance interoperability throughout the industry.

“The DWG has successfully worked through several, key pre-closing and closing documents and is now shifting attention to title and closing data points and the loan payoff request and letter,” said Shannon Bunting, Core Logic, Chair of the Title and Closing Docs to Data DWG. “MISMO invites industry professionals to join the DWG to ensure that the published work products meet the needs of the industry.”

Individuals interested in joining this group who are already MISMO Members may join the Title and Closing Docs to Data DWG collaboration site that has been established on MISMO Connect. Those not already members of MISMO who would like to participate should contact [email protected]. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday each month from 2:00 – 3:00pm ET via video conference.
