MISMO Publishes Updated Mortgage Insurance Activation API

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June xx, 2025) – MISMO®, the real estate finance industry's standards organization, today announced the release of minor revisions to the previously published Mortgage Insurance Activation API Implementation Guide (iGuide) and sample files.
The Mortgage Insurance (MI) Activation API iGuide and related sample files provide lenders with a streamlined method of activating the MI Commitment by allowing lenders to send closing date information to MI companies without leaving their system of record, ensuring greater efficiency and accuracy. The iGuide and sample files are based on Version 3.5 of the MISMO Reference Model.
Changes to the MI Activation API iGuide and samples files include corrections to typographical errors, updates to comments, conditionality and the addition of two object references.
